Harrisonburg Economic Development

Harrisonburg’s Department of Economic Development seeks to assist businesses in creating jobs and stimulate investment in the city.  To accomplish this mission, Harrisonburg Economic Development offers site selection services, technical assistance, incentive programs and regulatory guidance.  Additionally, the department connects businesses with other state, federal and private resources that can help start or grow a business.

City of West Palm Beach

The Mayor’s Jumpstart Academy is a pilot program that will identify current or future entrepreneurs and provide them with financial literacy training, credit building tools, entrepreneurship training and a network of mentors and peers. In partnership with Justine Petersen, Urban League of Palm Beach County and CO.STARTERS, participants who successfully complete the CO.STARTERS portion will have a pathway to additional financial and technical assistance. MJA aims to support entrepreneurs who have been historically excluded from access to capital and fill in this gap in our local entrepreneurial ecosystem.

City of Spartanburg

The City of Spartanburg is a municipality that serves approximately 35,000 residents daily. The City of Spartanburg operates under a Council-Manager form of government. The Council and Mayor appoint the City Manager, who manages the day-to-day functions of the City and carries out the City’s vision as defined and directed by the Council. The City’s departments range from police and fire to public works, who handles trash pick up and grounds maintenance to even special events and business development!
