The Facilitator's role is to effectively and efficiently guide participants through CO.STARTERS programs by asking the right questions, drawing on the knowledge in the room, and using available community resources. The Facilitator works closely with the Program Organizer to ensure a quality program that meets the needs of local entrepreneurs.
Who can be a Facilitator?
- Business banker
- Accountant with their own practice
- Leader of a community organization
- Professional business coach or consultant
- Successful small business owner
- Insurance agent with their own agency
What is the time commitment?
Time commitment of a facilitator is approximately 4 hours per week for 10-12 weeks.
What is the compensation?
The fee starts at $1,000 and can be higher for larger cohorts and other factors.


Facilitator Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Helps recruit participants.
- Spends a minimum of an hour per week outside of cohort meeting time reviewing the content and preparing for the session.
- Guides the group through the content for three hours each session (typically for 10-12 sessions).
- Shares community connections and resources with participants to include FINSYNC software, and other community resources.
- Meets with participants one-on-one as needed.
Qualifications:
- Passion for helping other entrepreneurs
- Experience in running and/or starting a business.
- Great communication skills
- Ability to lead and galvanize group conversations
- Skilled at inspiring group members to share
- Comfortable with using questions to encourage thinking and exploration
- Demonstrated leadership qualities
- Energetic
- Flexible and adaptable
- Exceptional time management skills
